NASCAR Hauler Parade Returns!

NASCAR Hauler Parade Returns to Las Vegas

After taking last year off,  one of the most unique NASCAR events is returning to Las Vegas.  The NASCAR Hauler Parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the south end at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign and conclude at Sahara Boulevard as the trucks make their way to I-15, then to head to the Speedway for the begining of NASCAR weekend in Las Vegas!

This event started as one of those “What if we” moments. An impromptu rolling of the trucks down the famed street in 2009.  It was so last minute, they didn’t even coordinate to shut any lanes off. They just went for it.  Word of mouth made spread so fast, that even on a short notice, the NASCAR fans quickly changed their plans and filled the sidewalks and walk-overs, hoping the news was true.

Now it’s more organized and the big 18-wheelers are polished up and the lights are all on as they make their way down the Strip, blaring their horns.  If you are in Las Vegas on that day, This is a MUST SEE event!  Get there early and stake out your location.  By 6pm, the sun will have sat and the crowds will be thick.  Just a warning:  Being after sunset, the chromed rigs look awesome reflecting off the bright casino lights, but are a B*tch to photograph!

Being Vegas, this is the only NASCAR city they do this in.  NASCAR Vegas week begins Friday with Stratosphere Pole Day.  Saturday is Boyd Gaming 300 and Sunday is the big NASCAR race:  The Kobalt 400.
