I always joked about how the State of Nevada was founded on corruption (we were) and we have specialized in it ever since. Seriously.
The joke has now turned a little too real. Governor Sisolack’s level of corruption makes the corruption we saw with the mob, look like child’s play. At least when the Mob killed you, it was for something you did against them, not just because you happen to live in Nevada and were not a ward of the Nevada State Prison.

Steve Sisolak, “The Crisis Capitalist” – updated

By now, if you haven’t heard the name Steve Sisolak, your isolation has lasted much longer than this week’s quasi-quarantine. Steve Sisolak is an ex-county commissioner, and current Governor of Nevada, who’s past, present and even future lead to questions about integrity, cronyism and flat-out fraud.
Clark County (Las Vegas) was first introduced to Sisolak about 11 years ago, when as a commissioner-elect, Sisolak frivolously sued McCarran airport over safety regulations. When safety restrictions on building heights were imposed, Steve turned to the courts to leech money from the airport. He claimed that the inability to grow his buildings upward, and extra noise and “dust” from the planes would hinder his ability to make a living. This statement echoes today in a similar fashion to Sisolak’s entire shutdown of Nevada with no contingency plan for rent or reimbursement that has hindered the lives of almost every single Nevadan.
During Sisolak’s time as a County Commissioner, Nevada was struck by tragedy. On Oct 1st, 2017 the largest single massacre in Las Vegas occurred. 58 lives were lost, and our city was sent into a frenzy. No less than 24 hours later, Steve Sisolak opened a “Go-Fund-Me” account to raise money, intended for the victims of the tragedy.
3 years later, Route 91 victims are still questioning where the money went. Sisolak promised that the money would be audited, and a clear-cut presentation would be shown as to where that money went. We see that some of that money made it to a scholarship, and about $12,000 of the $33 million raised was paid out. In 2018, an announcement was made that checks would be stopped. Sisolak’s fund claimed it never intended to directly give money to survivors, and about 30 million dollars of that money is still unaccounted for. No audit was performed and the original website was shut down.
Fast forward to the present COVID-19 crisis. Due to this virus, the world economy is in shambles, people are almost completely quarantined and a “diet martial law” is slowly creeping its way into our country. All facets of life are currently heavily monitored or restricted, including; work, travel, and even our constitutional rights. On March 22nd, 2020, Steve Sisolak announced that Jim Murren would be heading the task force embodied with the responsibility of leading the charge on the crisis.
Jim Murren and Steve Sisolak, are a match made in heaven; or hell, if you will. Jim Murren was also involved in the Route 91 shooting in various ways. Murren suspiciously sold off 18 million shares just 3 weeks before the Route 91 shooting and counter sued 1,000 of the victims. Just last month, Jim Murren sold over 600,000 shares of MGM stock and stepped down as CEO of MGM. Old habits die hard, and if this is any indication of forewarning or insider trading, it speaks volumes on his stock sales prior to the shooting. Among all these facts, Jim Murren is one of Sisolak’s largest donors, funneling a whopping $20,000 on the books during Sisolak’s 2018 gubernatorial election.
As the situation of Covid-19 intensifies, cures and possible treatments are undergoing live experiments. Currently, thousands of New Yorkers are being treated with a mixture of Z-pacs and HCQ, also known as Hydroxychloroquine. Within in days of President Trump touting Hydroxychloroquine, Steve Sisolak restricted use to anyone who wasn’t on a death bed or in serious condition. This is counterproductive behavior, as the results thus far have shown the quicker you attack Covid-19, the better your chances of survival are. Sisolak is currently being coached by Ihsan Azzam, a doctor who is not licensed to practice medicine in the United States.
Fast forward a few weeks, and we can see why such a kneejerk from Sisolak occurred. Nevada state prisons are now hoarding HCQ. This is exactly what Sisolak didn’t want for the public, but is totally fine for him while denying people life-saving care. Not only is Sisolak in violation of Nevada’s right to try act, he is also in violation of Roe v Wade and the access to care guarantees it protects.
It makes absolute sense as to why Steve Sisolak would choose a non-doctor with absolutely no knowledge of virology, to lead a statewide movement. It has absolutely nothing to do with preventing pathogenic disease or bailing out the little guy during a crisis. It has everything to do with political opportunity. The same political opportunity Sisolak used to leech money from victims, sue our airport, and put his cronies into power alongside his iron throne.

Just watching his speeches on COVID-19 was enough to turn my stomach. He had to read the entire speech and pounding on the podium like a little Hitler. He doesn’t care about Nevadans and will break the weak. Unemployment checks that he promised everyone has not been fulfilled. My granddaughter filed April 1 after the preschool that she taught at had to let her go because they just didn’t have enough children to keep her on. She received the card with a $0 balance about 2 weeks ago. No monies have been put on it. She has refiled, but still nothing. How does he expect people to provide for their families?
He was corrupt when he was commissioner for Clark County. When my husband worked for Clark County, he did things that he wasn’t supposed to do. And when my husband got interviewed by a reporter and gave all the details what Sisolak did, the reporter had to run it through their attorneys and they decided NOT to run the story. People are scared to talk because of big politicians run the state of Nevada. They will hide anything bad that comes out against them.

Thank you for that. Someone needed to finally say out loud what I think a lot of us have been feeling lately. The gov has been running the state like it was his kingdom. It needs to stop and he needs to be out of office and maybe in jail!

Very simple. he paid for it and won it. The State legislator is mostly state employees and union appointees. The republican party hasnt had a strong candidate in years.
How did this happen? How did a person of Gov. Sisolak’s integrity (or lack of it) get voted into office? This man cannot make a decision! He depends on his cronies to do it for him. He doesn’t even sound intelligent when he speaks; and he has to READ all of the speeches that others prepare for him. Where is the compassion for those people that have no income since Covid-19 appeared? Oh, yes, I see that they are jailed! This craziness has to stop. We need a decent, respectable human as Nevada’s Governor. And, thank you Mr. Anthony for bringing all of these facts to the forefront.

Um… that would be shares of MGM Stock. the conspiracy theorists all claim that the CEO of MGM was in on the shooting and planned to make big bucks shorting the MGM stock. So he sold a ton of it off while the price was high knowing it was going to tumble after the attack. In reality, selling large blocks of vested stock is almost an annual thing with the major CEO’s of the world.
With all of these facts being brought to light over our governor,I am proud to say that I did not vote for the son of a bitch therefore I have the ability and right to complain about him. I hope the people that voted them in our happy with themselves for not looking at the entire picture. He hates the state in about it and it’s obvious that he does I’m from a real area and he could give two shits about us up here.
