Railroad Pass Travel Center Now Open

Railroad Pass Travel Center Now Open

Every day, we get a little closer to having the ultra new and modern Interstate 11/Boulder City Bypass completed and the usual traffic bottleneck be gone!  Part of that relief comes with a new travel center/truck stop at the Historic Railroad Pass Casino right at the interchange of Boulder City Parkway, Interstate 11 and the Hwy 95 Searchlight exit. Try to tell me that won’t be making money!!

The Railroad Pass Travel Plaza is now open!

The oldest legal casino property in the United States is now home to the newest Chevron-branded gas station.  The 8,000 square-foot convenience store that includes a Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop opened on Friday at 8 pm.  Outside, you will find 20 fuel pumps for automobiles 9 truck diesel fueling pumps plus 10 Tesla charging stations. Whats to come includes charging stations for other electric vehicles, a truck scale, propane facility, trucker’s amenities, supplies, and showers as well as a clean-out station for recreational vehicles.

Parking?  Not a problem.  There is parking for about 100 trucks on a lower lot just in front of the travel center.  There is parking for about 30 recreational vehicles behind the center. On the back side of the casino, they expanded automobile parking as well there. Behind the property is the connection to the River Mountain Trails. A paved walking and biking trail system that can take you almost all around Las Vegas if you want to get out and exercise.  Rumor has it that the hotel is in line for a major expansion as well with a new hotel tower currently in the design phase.

Fuel Prices So Far

The current price for fuel at the new truck stop is $3.33 for regular unleaded and $3.35 for diesel. The neighboring Chevron 3 miles away in Henderson is $3.36 for regular unleaded and $3.35 for diesel. So they are competitive for the area.

For those who drive in from Arizona, check it out and let me know what you think.
