2024 National Parks Free Entrance Days

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Every year, the National Park Services sets aside a few days to drop the entrance fee for the few National Parks that charge an entrance fee. And I have listed the “Fee Free Days” in 2024.

First, did you know we have over 400 National parks in the United States? And out of those 400 plus parks, only 109 have an entrance fee. So, even without these free days, there are still a lot of free parks to explore all year long!

And speaking of exploring, why visit one park?? You get America The Beautiful Park Pass, and for one fee, you get entrance into all the National parks and other parks and landmarks for free for a year!

They have discounts and special pricing for Seniors, the military, and others. If you have a fourth grader in your household, they can also get a free America the Beautiful Pass.

Going Cashless

Heads up before you go. In 2023, twenty-two national parks went “cashless” to pay entrance fees. Meaning they only accept credit or debit cards. And look for more of them doing it in 2024. So check the list of parks that did go cashless and pack some plastic to pay the entrance fee.
